How bad can it get for one to desire her narc hit her? And now that Scotland has made emotional and psychological abuse an offense just like physical abuse, how long is it going to take for the U.S. to pass similar legislature?

Changing of the Times
I was leaving the market yesterday and I noticed an elderly woman struggling to put her groceries in the back of her SUV. I was going to offer to help, but she was almost done by the time I got to my car, which happened to be right beside hers.
I loaded my things in my car and passed her walking as we were putting our carts away. When I got back to my car, she seemed to be slowly, with difficulty, climbing into her car. I walk up and told her I’d get her door for her once she was in the car, but she seemed a little timid. Agreeing, I closed her door for her and wished her a good afternoon.
I can remember back in the day, you didn’t have so many things to worry about. You didn’t worry about getting help from a stranger, or leaving out on your bike at 8:30 AM, no cell phone, and not coming back until we wanted or the job was finished. What wrong with the world today? I say it boils down to respect and honesty. I’m asking for any opinions if you have something you’d like to offer?
